About Us
Major League Carp is a spirited attempt to encourage and tap into the American fisherman's love of competitive angling. Once enrolled, anglers can can compete in sanctioned tournaments and MLC main events to earn points and qualify for national championship events and competitions with fantastic prizes.
Our mantra is not to preach European styles of carp angling but draw on existing pools of competitive anglers fishing competitions on Paylakes and "wild" waters. With luck we may also entice those currently fishing for catfish, where a thriving competitive circuit already exists.
Of course all competitions will encourage safe handling of fish together with catch and release.
The organisers of MLC are a determined bunch of expat euro style carpers, expat UK match anglers, US paylakers and home grown carp fanatics. All with a passion to help the US Outdoorsmen discover and recognize carp as an exciting sport fish.
